Short company description: SBRN is the entrepreneur’s guide to frequently accessed professionals, regulatory agencies and nonprofit organizations with expertise in small business. Members of the SBRN include professionals in industries that serve small business and are experienced in all aspects of business operations.

What makes your company unique?: Members are vetted for experience prior to being accepted into membership in SBRN.

How do you define success?: Success is being happy and productive in both your work and your life.

Who in the industry inspires you and why?: SBRN members inspire me with their commitment to helping small businesses grow and succeed.

What is a tip for success that you would provide someone in your same industry?: Embrace your “failures”. That’s how you learn, grow and gain wisdom.

What excites you most about your industry?: The number of younger professionals who are motivated to help clients regardless of whether they will personally benefit financially. They do it because it makes them feel good.

What is the biggest challenge you think you or your organization is going to face in the upcoming year?: The biggest challenge for most membership organizations is to grow their membership. As members retire, it’s important to be open to new, younger members who can bring a fresh perspective to the organization.

Who is a Trustee in our community that you admire and why?: Janice Donaldson, Regional Director, Florida SBDC at UNF for her commitment to small businesses and her willingness to help others succeed.
