Short company description:

Mocama Beer Company opened in Nov 2020 in an iconic newly renovated 18,000 square foot former car dealership in Fernandina Beach. We currently offer up to 12 different beers to patrons in out tap room while also distributing 4 or 5 different beers into restaurants, bars, and package stores in Nassau, Duval, Clay, and St. Johns Counties. We employ over 20 people and will be opening a satellite tap room at WildLight in May or June, which will employ another 5 or 6 employees.

How do you define success?

To achieve the obvious need to be profitable in order to stay in business, I always strive to deliver quality products at a fair price that create many happy consumers. It has also always been my desire in my previous company and this one to build a team that truly enjoys working together and understands how greatly they are appreciated. I believe in hiring great people and empowering them to put their best skills to work for the benefit of the company and their own personal growth. If I have a team of skilled, highly motivated, and happy employees, I know that the company will succeed.

What are your biggest goals in the next 12 Months for your business?

We want to continue building momentum in our main taproom in Fernandina Beach while also launching the tap room at WildLight, We are excited to bring Mocama closer to the sizeable community at and surrounding WildLight. We also expect to achieve more penetration into the Jacksonville and St. Augustine beer market by consistently providing excellent beers that our locals and tourists enjoy.
