Short company description: Latoya Renee Productions is a company that specializes in expressing our faith through several outlets such as gospel plays, books, music and tv shows to uplift, motivate and encourage people to believe and do the impossible.
What makes your company unique?: Our company is unique because we are not afraid to be different and go against what society says is cool or in season.
How do you define success?: Success is when you are doing what you have been created to do. So many of us are looking at other’s definition of success and that’s where we get trip up. What is your passion, your calling, that one thing when you close your eyes and see. Do that thing and when you finally let go and do it, I believe that you have just became successful on your own terms.
Who in the industry inspires you and why?: I love Steve Harvey and when he had his talk show. On his show there was a segment where he was able to be himself and talk to the studio audience with no filter and give out advise and more than once he would end in motivating and inspiring the audience. I believe when God give you a platform you should release some good into the world. Something to make people think and step into their next season in life, unapologetically with boldness.
What is a tip for success that you would provide someone in your same industry?: Don’t give up! It may not be for everyone and that’s ok but someone needs what you have to offer.
What excites you most about your industry?: I get exciting when I see someone working in their gifts, their calling. I’m shouting from afar, “You betta do that thing!” I love seeing people win.
What is the biggest challenge you think you or your organization is going to face in the upcoming year?: Our biggest challenge is trying to break through of the normalcy that people see because our company is different than what is being presenting in today’s society.
Who is a Trustee in our community that you admire and why?: I believe a trustee that I admire would be my Pastor. The way that he carries himself and the love that he have for the community.
