Short company description: FreshJax® is a rapidly growing family business handcrafting organic spice blends in Jacksonville, Florida since 2011. We strive to excite taste buds so others are inspired to live a healthier lifestyle. This way we can all work together to fulfill our vision of donating 50 million meals to kids in need. We make corporate gifting easy so you can provide your team and clients with a gift they can feel good about from the inside out.

What makes your company unique?:
Our Mission. We help show others that healthy eating doesn’t have to be bland or complicated. It can be packed full of flavor and as easy as grabbing just one bottle of our handcrafted spice blends. In addition, even though we are growing, we always have that “small family” feel. We treat every single one of our fans like a member of our family. In fact, many of our spice blends were inspired by ideas from our fans themselves!

How do you define success?: I would define success in a couple of ways. First would be increased exposure. With increased exposure, it boosts the potential for us to donate more meals to hungry children. Donating more meals gets us closer and closer to our vision of 50 million meals. I would also define success as giving encouragement. We encourage our team members to live better lives every day. This could be in the form of helping each other, helping their community, or working towards a healthier lifestyle themselves. Encouragement is essential to success.

Who in the industry inspires you and why?:
Our fans! We absolutely love our fans. The inspire us to create new flavors or products to cater to everyone’s needs. We are also inspired by leaders and companies who give back. We are constantly on the lookout for new ideas and new ways to support our own community and help as much as we can.

What is a tip for success that you would provide someone in your same industry?: Don’t limit yourself. New ideas are limitless! Keep creating new ideas and see what works for you and your company.

What excites you most about your industry?: There are always new ideas, and thus new flavors! Things are always changing in our industry, whether it be flavors, products, gifting options, etc. Collaboration and new ideas are always exciting!

What is the biggest challenge you think you or your organization is going to face in the upcoming year?:
1. Increasing visibility on other channels. We aim to grow in a variety of ways and provide our products to our fans through multiple channels. Our newest one is Walmart.com!

2. Another challenge this year would be to become an “all-year” business. Our busiest times of the year are around Father’s Day and Christmas. We are working to show people unique gifting doesn’t just have to be just for the holidays. There are many reasons to gift throughout the year to help support your own team and clients.
